Howdy, Friends! I’m very happy to have my li’l surprise mini-album 'Heaven, or Someplace as Nice' out now on streaming services everywhere! Now, that’s a helluva good title, I admit, but I’m even more proud of the songs themselves. I didn’t want to make these songs something that they’re not. I wrote them to be simple, to be pure and unadorned. Listen here: https://orcd.co/jrhosan It was a pleasure to work with guitar-hero Bill Frisell on a bunch of these tracks, he was so generous and brought a new curiosity into the mix. And we have Zachariah Hickman lending tears a voice upon the bass, and Sam Kassirer glamouring at the ivories. Rich Hinman and I also play the guitar, but Rich does it incredibly beautifully. The world spins faster and faster these days, and I’ve found comfort in these songs and the people who helped me get them down. In creation, there is room for the soul to repose, and you’ve given me that space. I hope the songs can help you in creating yours. Thank you to everyone who has picked up a copy of it on vinyl and CD over the last couple of weeks. It's been so fun seeing your notes about receiving it in the mail and putting it on the record player to listen to it for the first time. We still have some left up in the webstore, including signed versions, if you haven't grabbed your copy yet. Again, THANK YOU. Rock!
